The final field and barrier draw has been released for the Group 2 Shannon Stakes, which is due to run this Saturday September 21, 2011, at Rosehill Racecourse.
Grahame Begg’s Secret Admirer is one of 11 horses that have accepted to compete in the $175,000 race.
Secret Admirer finished second behind Sincero in her last start in the Group 3 Tramway Handicap at Warwick Farm.
“The Tramway is always a great form race and after Saturday you would say the form is very good,” Begg said.
”She has come on from that run and the reason I went to the Shannon was to have her on the seven-day back-up for the Epsom.
“It worked for her in the Flight Stakes last year and I think it will bring the best out of her again.”
Also included in the 2011 Shannon Stakes final field and barrier draw are Descarado, Triple Honour, Syreon and Torio’s Quest.
